Last week week, COS launched its newest pop-up in Downtown Los Angeles. Designed by Daniel Arsham and Alex Mustonen of the Brooklyn-based experimental design studio Snarkitecture, the store was located inside Scandinavian concept store Austere.
The two first collaborated on an installation in Milan and came together once again to create a visually stimulating, riveting experience for all who attend. Utilizing tones and reflections, COS and Snarkitecture have created an exploration of form and silhouettes centered around a 20-foot floor-to-ceiling mirrored wall. With pink-hued steel and concrete archeticuall displays anchoring the spatial conceptualization, the collaborative store exemplifies Snarkitecture’s hallmark strength in utilizing existing space to transform architecture into unexpected landscapes.
The Snarkitecture x COS LA Pop-Up Shop is open now until November 15 at Austere (912 S Hill St, Los Angeles).
