Well, we have all heard about the star spangled banner and the uproar it has caused in the athletic world. This story is just another to add to the database.

For the last 4 games COLIN KAEPERNICK has not stood for the star spangled banner! The first game he chose not to stand, is what has us here today. KAEPERNICK shared that he would not sing a song and put his hand over his heart for a country that did not fight equally for rights, African American rights to be exact. KAEPERNICK says he grew up around segregation and understood it’s affects on the black community.

Now here is the kicker that led me to share this story! With KAEPERNICK making the decision to stand next to his choice, it caused others to do the same. Several of KAEPERNICK’S teamates have not stood since he made the choice. This quickly showed Americans they truly had someone to believe in. Within 3 days of the season, KAEPERNICK’S jersey, is the number one selling jersey in the league!!

Now this is what I call trend setting at its best. Once KAEPERNICK found out he took to social media, he released a statement.

” I WASN’T EXPECTING MY JERSEY SALES TO JUMP TO NUMBER ONE BECAUSE OF THIS, BUT IT SHOWS THE PEOPLE’S BELIEF THAT WE CAN ACHIEVE JUSTICE AND EQUALITY FOR ALL”!

Now this is what a true INFLUENCER looks like to anyone that was wondering!

Kaepernick, you most definitely get the heART of cool STAMP.
