Well, I have been hearing a lot about the new film, HIDDEN FIGURES, for a while now. The film is about the hidden women behind NASA and it’s mathematicians; starring Katherine Johnson, played by Taraji P. Henson; Dorothy Vaughn, played by Octavia Spencer and Mary Jackson, played by Janelle Monáe. These amazing innovators work together to help launch astronaut, John Glenn, into outer space.
This film is one of the big ones and that is because it is a period piece. And we all know these are not only the hardest films to make, but also some of the hardest films to star in as well. The work load that will be displayed in this film will be extraordinary! Period pieces in film are literally all about the wardrobe. It is the most vital part of everything that goes on. The specifications that have to be managed are bigger than the human physical body. This is what makes the movie business the magic making business!
The film is set to hit theaters this January and will be the only period piece released, which means all eyes will be on these beautiful black beauties and I cannot wait.
